I bet you were wondering, “just who is this person” who would sit down and create an itinerary of exactly what I want to see in London? Well, let me tell you a few things about myself.
When I was just a teenager in Upstate New York, a favorite English teacher instilled in me a fascination and a passion for England. Over the years it never wavered and led to in-depth personal study of English history, especially the Tudors. It wasn’t enough to just read; I began to visit the country I loved so much. Accompanied by my daughters, each tour just increased my desire to see more.
After two decades of being a high-school business teacher, I decided to begin leading small groups of my own students to London. Planning our itinerary, transportation, and all that goes with it, is a sheer joy! The students love it and learn how to negotiate their way around a major city, use a new currency, and visit places they had only known from textbooks. It was wonderful to me to see their faces when staring up at Big Ben, or at a mummy in the British Museum!
This year, God willing, I plan to take my oldest granddaughter to London to see all her favorite places!
